Our company was established in 1939 by Harold Hayes. He started
as a young boy with a wagon collecting bottles, rags, old newspapers and scrap metal. Harold was a personable individual
who never met a stranger. He always made you feel as though he had all the time in the world, still getting things
done quickly and efficiently. This is a practice that we still strive for today. In the early 90s, when Harold
retired, his youngest son Tony decided that he would step into his fathers' shoes and take over the family business. Tony
expanded yet maintained the same philosophies of always knowing your customers. On
August 12, 2003 Tony and his wife Angie purchased Sturgeon Bay Iron & Metal, moving from the family "junk
yard" to Sturgeon Bay Iron & Scrap Metal LLC. So much has changed in the way things are run in the recycling
center. As of January 1, 2006 Full Circle Recycling became a part of the Hayes
Family Business. Full Circle was established 17 years ago by Ed & Ruthann Borneman, and after
15 years of running Full Circle they made the difficult decision to sell the business. We are now working on expanding
what the Bornemans started. Without you our customers this wouldn't be possible. So thank you for helping
us expand and keep the legacy going. We hope to be here serving you through all of the changes that are
yet to come. Our mission is to help restore the Earth
to its natural glory, educate ourselves and others on how to achieve this and make the community or communities we are
a part of a better place to be because we were there.
